Such a eventful Sunday! Began the day with breakfast then went to mid-town to partake in Holi Hai the festival of colors. There was great music, food, venues and of course everyone throwing colors in celebration and anticipation of spring. I didn't join in with sharing the colors but Vladimir did! I think my fav part was watching the performances of dance, so beautiful and I loved the music.
I checked the forecast for the day and it was going to rain so I decided to wear my hunter boots and warm comfy clothes, which is ideal for a day of frolicking around NYC.
After the festival and a nice walk we decide the get some Indian food at Indigo Indian Restaurant on 50th street. Delicious!
After lunch we went downtown to do shopping around Broadway and East village. There is a mrual in East Village that changes every couple weeks and I enjoy capturing the different images that appear. This is what it looks like at the moment:
After shopping I went to Jersey City and Hoboken in NJ, places i have never been! It seems weird to live so close to a place and never go exploring... So I hopped on the path train from west village and was in NJ in 15 minutes! So convenient. Once I arrived my girlfriends and I walked around the river. It was a nice view since I am used to looking at New Jersey from NYC and now I could see the opposite. After our walk we went to a Cuban restaurant called Havana to get dinner and coffees. It was amazing and so cozy inside. After dinner we headed to a bar near the river and chatted about life then ended the evening with desert at Love&Yogurt for some frozen yogurt.
