On Sunday I went to a church charity sale with Christina. The church was located in Brooklyn Heights, which has to be one of the cutest neighborhoods in NYC. We were chatting with the lady hosting the sale and she was telling us how the church got the name of The Underground Church. The church was founded by an abolitionist and the basement of the church was a safe stop for people fleeing the south and making the journey to the north along the underground railroad. I loved hearing the history and and being in a place that helped so many people. The proceeds from the sale that day were going to a organization that wants to end human trafficking.
After shopping we headed to Tribeca to have brunch with a bunch of our friends (and Koko) and after we ate we stopped by a Puerto Rican festival and ate even more food! Sunday Funday accomplished :)
